Week Six Weigh-In and Challenge

Well do to being ill this morning we had to cancel the challenge. We will not be making it up this week, so we hope to see you next Monday. We did however still weigh-in this morning.

Let me start with Jay. Wow he did amazing this week. Monday through Wednesday he was gone to football camp worried that it would be hard to make good choices and workout. Then Friday through Sunday he was with the football team at the Buckeroo selling programs, add in a couple BBQ’s, JUNK food at the Buckeroo, and not a lot of time to workout. He was going to be happy just to lose a couple pounds. This morning he weighed in with a loss of seven pounds. In just five weeks Jay has lost 36 pounds and is less than 400 pounds now. It has been sometime since he has been less than 400 pounds.

Being Jay’s wife I would have to say the biggest change that I see in him daily is the mental challenges. For someone with a low self-image, it is hard to believe in yourself, receive compliments and know that it is okay to finish what you start. This has started to slowly change for Jay every day.

As for me, I did not have a very good weigh-in this week. I don’t know what happened, but I gained one pound. I worked out harder this week then I have all summer and stayed within my caloric range, but for some reason unknown to me my body decided to gain a pound. Hmmm.

I would like to thank everyone for the support, prayers and words of encouragement that we have been receiving.

J&L Biggest Loser Event Six

Starting off July, our event will be on Monday, July 5th at 10:00 AM. It will be held in the old gym at TCC/CCS. We would love to have you come and complete this challenge with us. We will be doing 100 up downs.

Those of you that need to weigh-in; we will still be doing that at Sarah’s house at 9:00 AM, then traveling over to the gym for the challenge.

End of the First Month!!!

Jay has lost a total of 29 pounds and 36 inches!!!
Laura has lost a total of 16 pounds and 27 inches!!!
Lets hope that the second month will bring the same results.
